When you first visit us for either a reversal or vasectomy we will commence a thorough assessment of your vas tubes using an ultrasound device. This is a very important part of the planning stage that needs to be completed in order to increase your chance of procedure success.
This is a procedure created by Dr Earl Owen, which is now practiced at Metrocentre by Dr Chris Lekich. In order to complete the procedure, a high power Zeiss microscope will be used, and the three separate layers of the vas tube will be reconnected. The accurate reconnection of this tube and its layers will reduce risk of scarring as well as improve your chances of a successful reversal.
We focus our efforts into delivering precision and successful procedures, while also providing world class care. We have some of the most advanced technology available, including state of the art ultrasound equipment as well as a Zeiss surgical microscope.
We understand that this procedure may be a little stressful for some patients, after all it can be a big decision to no longer want children, or to choose to reverse a vasectomy. For this reason each of our staff members, including Dr Chris Lekich are friendly, and get to know the patient before the procedure.
