Drummer and guitarist Mark was a long way from home when he found himself in front of Dr Lekich. Mark had left his previous life (& ex-wife!) behind him in America. His ex-wife never wanted kids, so Mark agreed to have a vasectomy, a decision he eventually regretted.

Mark decided on a whim to pursue a drumming gig he had auditioned for a few years prior. As fate would have it, the agency still hired him based on that audition, and Mark found himself on a four-month long cruise in the Mediterranean.

Mark recounts, “Lo and behold I met a gorgeous Australian dancer, and we fell in love, and we have been together ever since. I left America and started a new life in Australia.”

The only speed bump with the new family was of course Mark’s previous vasectomy. The couple decided not to go with IVF or any other fertility options and went straight for a reversal. Mark researched online and dived down the rabbit hole of vasectomy reversals, eventually stumbling upon Dr Lekich.

This being 2010 or 2011, they couldn’t find “many places that even offered a vasectomy reversal and by all appearances and accounts, Dr. Lekich is THE guy.”

The procedure went smoothly, and the couple welcomed a beautiful baby boy named Archie. Mark says that being a father is just how everyone describes it, while also being completely different. He continued, “Archie is the light of our life, and he continually teaches us that there were and always will be new ways and greater depths to love. He has enriched our lives in every way possible, reframed my priorities, and given us both a purpose beyond ourselves.”

On the subject of more children, Mark’s wife is leaning more towards a yes(!), whereas Mark is happy either way. With a successful reversal, the decision for more children is entirely in the hands of the parents.  No matter what, Archie who is almost 3 years old now will continue to keep them on their toes.
